To meet this goal we will provide useful articles, news stories, after-action reports from actual search & rescue operations, book reviews, product reviews and survival tips.
Our core philosophy is that a lost or stranded person is not a victim…victims are helpless. The readers will be encouraged to see themselves as first responders and to understand how to become part of the search and rescue team that is looking for them. To that end, we will strive to provide the awareness, knowledge and skills necessary to stay alive and aid in your own rescue by employing sound survival strategies, practical survival skills and, effective signaling techniques.
This knowledge is important for whose vocation or avocation leads them down the less-well-traveled paths of life.
